Enjoyed our stay mostly thanks to the charming and helpful staff member at the front desk Nei Nei - not sure of the spelling of her name but she went out of her way to ensure we were enjoying ourselves! The location was perfect for us - close to our favourite breakfast spot and easy walking distance to my Thai cooking class. The pool has a limited amount of sun but otherwise our stay was enjoyable!
Beautiful garden, aircon, value for money. I had a lovely 7-night stay at Sri Pat Guest House. The staff are very friendly and they don't try to push treks on you, which is great. They will try their best to help you with everything. I went in April/May, which is a very hot time in Chiang Mai, so the aircon was an absolute must and a life-saver. If you're a light sleeper, do not take a standard room above the pool. It was noisy and I actually ended up paying extra to move to a delux room because it was further away from the pool area and therefore quieter. Goy (one of the staff members) is very sweet, friendly and helpful. The beds are huge. Overall a great stay!
Definitely recommend Sri Pat if you're staying in the Old City. There may be cheaper guest houses out there, but with things being so inexpensive in Thailand, I didn't find it necessary to pinch pennies, and stayed at Sri Pat for about $32/night. The hotel is clean, the location is good, the wifi is reliable, and the staff is very friendly.
we stayed 3 days. the location was Ideal. when you walk out of the front door, you’re already on a cool walking street but it’s very quiet at night. Was perfect. plus it’s very close to the Sunday market. it was a decent place for the price. The staff was very friendly, the room large room, good pressure in the shower, kettle with instant coffee in the room. If the bed was better we would have stayed 2 weeks.
